All Blogged Up: A Moof’s Tale

Feeling a Little Humbled …

The last several months have brought so many changes and challenges into my life that it’s been hard to do much of anything but hang on tight, and hope that things pass. In the next few days, I will post a brief summary of what has been going on, so that you’ll know that I haven’t forgotten all of you, and gone off to suck up the sunshine on some little white beach in Bermuda … don’t I wish! ;o)

As much as I’ve neglected this blog, and found it difficult to do keep up with the blogs I like to follow, two very kind souls have nominated me for another blog award. It was really kind of them, and I must say that I’m feeling both humbled … and guilty … for being gone for so long.

Vijay, over at Scan Man’s Notes, gave me the Be the Blog Award yesterday, and this morning, Ramona of Suture for a Living gave me the very same award.

Here’s the description:

…created by Mark at Me and My Drum for bloggers who make their blog their own, stay with it, are interactive with their readers, and just plain have fun.

And here’s what the little beauty looks like:

Be The Blog award

Vijay and Ramona have nominated a lot of the people that I also would nominate, and there are a lot more of you that I would like to nominate … if I started, my list would go on and on. All of my blog friends on Pownce, and all of those on Facebook … and so many of the rest of you who keep blogging, sharing, giving yourselves to us so unselfishly …

you’re the ones who deserve the award

Congratulations on winning the award! Keep up the good work! :)

hi… you got spamlinks in your code linking to our site (thats how i noticed), that you can only see if javascript is turned off. to get rid of them check your footer (there is probably an additional and unwanted wp-footer include, more info here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/123108/page/2). btw. they come back if you do not update your wordpress installation.

Mark, thank you! Nice looking award you’ve created!

Bleed, I’ve found the problem, and fixed it … along with plugging up a few more holes. What I’d like to know is how it got there to begin with. Who would put spam links on my blog to your site but someone who would benefit from it?

  4. bleed GERMANY Mac OS X Safari 523.10 Says:

hi moof, wish i knew how this works too, vulnerability in wordpress it seems. as for the benefit, they had a corresponding hack on our site, wich redirected these links to some pages on a spammer site on a server called qwetro.com…

  5. Moof Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.11 Says:

Bleed, I understand what you’re saying now. Thank you for the head’s up. When you left your comment yesterday, I was at that moment actively going through all of my files to find the source of the problem. Hopefully, we’ll both be able to keep ahead of these people …
