Anguish Languish … Park Due

Last time, I posted a Furry Tell, this time I’ll share something from the “Lath thing thumb thongs” section …

Hey! Maybe we can get Dr. Rob to play his accordion as an accompaniment .. :o)

Remember – if this all seems like nonsense to you, read it out loud

Hormone Derange

O gummier hum warder buffer-lore rum
Enter dare enter envelopes ply,
Ware soiled’em assured adage cur-itching ward
An disguise earn it clotty oil die.

Harm, hormone derange,
Warder dare enter envelopes ply,
Ware soiled’em assured adage cur-itching ward
An disguise earn it clotty oil die.

Moof, I must not have the right “ear” cause even when I read it out loud it doesn’t make sense. I seem to be missing it. Have a great day!

  2. tk UNITED STATES Windows Vista Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.7 Says:

    Um, I don’t get it either . . . *scratching head*

  3. tk UNITED STATES Windows Vista Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.7 Says:

hey, I finally got it! That song was once played at a funeral for a cowboy that knew when I was a child . . . You are right–saying it (or singing it . . .) out loud helps! lol

  4. Rob UNITED STATES Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.7 Says:

I figured it out right away. I suppose I should worry. Nah, I would have been worried a long time ago.

    I’ll get my accordion!

  5. Moof Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.6 Says:

Dr. Bates … think of a song that we all learned as kids: “Home, home on the range …” ;o)

TK … there ya go! That would, indeed, make a great funeral song for a cowboy!

Dr. Rob … “I suppose I should worry. Nah, I would have been worried a long time ago” … gee, doesn’t that worry you? >;o)

When you get back with the accordion, I’ll pull out my red and purple kazoo!

  6. jmb CANADA Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.7 Says:

Well after all the hints I finally get it too!

  7. Vijay INDIA Mac OS X Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.7 Says:

Nope. I don’t know the song. Moof could you send me a translated version?

  8. Drew Letchworth Mac OS X Safari 531.22.7 Says:

    Hey Moof,

Since you’re clearly a fan of The Anguish Languish/Ladle Rat Rotten Hut, I thought you’d enjoy the following link:

    An Anguish Languish Lesson 11/3/2008
    9 min – Nov 15, 2008 –
Ladle Rat Rotten Hut in the Anguish Languish, as originated by Professor Howard L. Chace and translated by a mysterious “Sergei” individual….

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fl7_J-reLxg -

It was about six years ago while studying Robin Williams’ (a female writer -not the Actor) Non-Designer’s Design Book, that I discovered Howard L. Chace’s Ladle Rat Rotten Hut.

It was a series of wonderful discoveries because:
it slowly dawned on me that these were not just random words . . .
it slowly dawned on me that this was a story . . .
it slowly dawned on me that I knew this story . . .
The moment I knew that it was LRRH, -everything started to fall into place, and boy was it fun!

I’ve tried (and succeeded) to include that sense of discovery in this performance. The audience has the opportunity to see, hear and speak the Anguish Languish, which helps them grasp it from three directions.

    Thanks
    Drew Letchworth

PS I have done some work with the ‘other’ Robin Williams. I played his incompetent lawyer in Mrs. Doubtfire

  9. Moof UNITED STATES Windows NT Mozilla Firefox 3.6.3 Says:

Mr. Letchworth, thank you for your comment, and also for that wonderful link! I’ve never heard anyone else do Laddle Rat Rotten Hut out loud before, and it’s hilarious! You were also very clever with how you laid things out. :o)

About Robin Williams (the actor) … I love him to bits. There aren’t many of his movies that I’ve missed. Mrs. Doubtfire was so funny and embarrassing that it made me squirm for his sake. Seriously, it must have been a fun movie to work on. If ever you decide that you have some “dressing room” humor to share, let me know! I’d be all ears!
