Snausea Stats

In a period of 48 hours, the following searches were caught by my StatCounter. There were 14 searches regarding nausea and sneezing … 3 about hospitalists … and only singleton search terms beyond that.

3 nausea sneeze
2 nausea sneezing
2 pregnancy sneezing nausea
2 nausea before sneezing
1 feel like throwing up then sneeze
1 nauseous before sneezing
1 what causes a feeling of nausea, then the urge to sneeze?
1 when i am nauseous i sneeze
1 have a weird sneeze

All the rest of the search terms for the same time period …

Note that those in red landed on one of the Sneeze/Nausea posts, although the subject didn’t have anything to do with being nauseated before sneezing …

3 the pro and cons of having a hospitalist
1 zyrtec
1 newmarket nh police report
1 cough
1 dr. house asperger’s
1 mots de bievenue a un marriage
1 adderall blood sugar drop
1 darvocet-n 100 experiences
1 circumcision video
1 can kids with 12 years old take ativan
1 good stories cymbalta
1 phenomenon that causes many people to sneeze in bright sunlight?
1 multi vitamin makes me throw up
1 moof
1 female on prednisone constantly aroused … ummm … *cough!* >;o)
1 medical pathetical
1 prozac for fibromyalgia

A mind boggling 42% of the searches in the last 48 hours have been about the sneeze/nausea connection. I don’t know how typical that is, because I don’t look at the search terms that often … however I believe it’s probably a regular thing, since those sneeze posts always seem to get the most activity.

Come on! There has got to be a few of you docs out there who can offer some explanation for the phenomenon … or who are willing to explore the matter further with their own patients. Those of us who are saddled with this rather unpleasant symptom would really like to know more about it … then perhaps some of us could get our meds adjusted, or do whatever else is deemed necessary, to make it stop, cease and desist!

Think about it - you may be the next one standing in front of one us “snausies” when this rather ticklish event occurs … if so, I’d hate to be your tie! ;o)

PK, I saw your “allergy sneezon” post! *comfort* I’m sorry, but although it’s certainly not a laughing matter, I can’t help but laugh out loud every time I see “sneezon” … how appropriate! ;o)

Moof, your page is faster to load and more stable now. No more ’shakes’. Are you on new server now? If so, it’s good. :)

  5. Moof Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.2 Says:

Ipanema, I’d be afraid to post some of the search terms I see! *LOL* That one is pretty tame, actually. Cracked me up, though! I’ve heard that prednisone had some rather disconcerting side effects, especially with prolonged use, but I had no idea that this was one of them … >;o)

I’m glad to hear that the page is running smoother now. Yes, we’re on a new server. I’ve had a lot of grief in the last 6 months with the company hosting us, and the only reason I’ve stayed with them is that the fellows in Tech Support are really, really good. They’ve never talked down to me, and always give me a detailed report of what exactly is happening. I wish I could say I was as fond of their admin, but I can’t. *cough*

Anyway, I became very upset last week when, yet again, my blog became unreachable. It was hard to load, and it went down for hours at a time - and the issues just seemed to be building up. One of the fellows there offered to move my account to a different server … so now it’s on a completely different machine. I hope that this works better.

Sarah found a new hosting service which is highly recommended by Word Press … if I were to leave Acenet, that’s where I would go next.

OMG, I can’t believe I found this…I thought I was just weird! I wish someone in the medical profession would respond to this. This happens to me all the time, and sometimes I hit the trifecta…which is where I feel like I’m going to puke/sneeze/cry all in one split second. It’s almost like a reverse sneeze or something. I often wonder if I’m having some kind of seizure, lol.
