Come to India. In the city I live in, (Chennai), it is 91 F! (Ninety one, you read that right !). And in May, it would be around 108 ! You could make an omelet on our tar road, or at least the part of the road where the tar has not melted and stuck to your shoes ! I went to grad school in Syracuse (NY), and during my first fall, I washed all my clothes in hot water, and hung them in my attic to dry ! They came back crisp with ice ! I hate the winter and I hate cold, and the older I get the more I despise it. I am unapologetic about my detestation. I read something recently in which the actor Morgan Freeman was sought to do a film that would be shot somewhere in northern Ontario in winter. He declined the role. "I don't do cold, man. I've reached an age where I have enough money to not to have to do winter, so I don't." What a freedom. Well, it’s supposed to get to 40 here today, and I was thinking of complaining that it’s NEVER going to warm up, but I think I’ll now pass on the complaining and count my blessings. To you, after that 5 degree ambient, you’d probably be ready to hit a pool at 40 degrees! Let Sarah come get you, is my advice!

We left from NJ and went up from NY state, into Massachusetts, Vermont, new Hampshire coast, the lower portion of Maine, back through NH and to top of Vermont (near Lake Champlain) then back down through NY state to home. Also got some wonderful Vermont maple syrup! :) We enjoyed being free spirits! :)
