Here are a few pics from our Christmas Eve Reveillon. The last of my company left today, and this is my first chance to get into here and post. I hope to post again before the New Year … AND get to do a blog run! :o)
You can view the pictures inline, along with the explanations underneath, or you can click on the first picture, and click through them like a slide show …

Here’s the layout for the kitchen table …
We had a ham tray with hot sauces, blueberry pie, a tourtière, cretons with crackers, a pecan maple pie, a pumpkin pie, a fruit tray, bubbly jello, chocolate cream pie … candy … Don’t think I missed anything …

Dining room table had a cherry pie, a pecan maple pie, a tourtière, cretons with crackers, cheese with crackers, pumpkin pie, cranberry cream pie, chips with onion dip, vegetable tray with blue cheese dip, and lots of stuff like nuts, candy, corn chips … etc.

My daughter Dena gets caught up on news with my brother Gil, and his wife Vivian. I have a few other pics of Vivian … but I’m saving those for blackmail purposes! >;o)

Doug in his usual Christmas posture. At least he was awake, this year!

Dougie … showing us his “evil grin.” This is mild, actually … you should see it when he really puts his heart into it! *LOL*

A bunch of munchers in the kitchen! Magnus (my son in law) on the left, Bill on left and behind, my son Darian and daughter Deneen in the middle, and Tom behind Deneen.

Munchers … this is just before things got real bouncy … :o)

Magnus, my son-in-law. A rare serious moment …

Sarah with her cute little Mini-mutt. She looks all done in!

Sarah and Dae … I have no idea how two adults can fit into that chair …

I had just had some veggies with blue cheese dip … and the dip was soooo good that I didn’t want to waste any!!! I got caught trying to get every last little smudge of it! *blush* ;o)

Wow! I found the picture of the year! Please send it over. It deserves to be in an album cover. Caption! caption! Looks like you’ve put all your studying hours into that dip! I can feel the stress unleashed. :)

But you mention nothing of the Grateful Deads. How many did you and your family consume?? Be honest ;)

Wolfbaby … I made the sweet pies and the French traditional goodies, but my chef son makes a cheesecake that even people who don’t normally like cheesecake rave over! He’s the one you want to take cooking lessons from! Have a Happy New Year! :o)

Pk … you’re the one to tell me you hope I’m taking care of myself! LOL!!! How about you, my friend? How are you doing?
—
Angel, I’m sorry the email didn’t go through. Which one did you use? Best one to try is moof (at) blogsplot (dot) net …
Hope your New Year is warm and wonderful! :o)

Kt … thank you! I did that nose dive you mention – right smack into the pies. Now the 10 pounds I wanted to lose since my time at camp is closer to 20 pounds I need to lose before summer! LOL
Have a Happy New Year!

TJ, my dear friend – thank you for the New Year wishes. I sincerely hope that your New Year is peaceful, and full of blessings! Be well!

Ipanema … *cough* … um … *blush*
The blue cheese dip was one of my favorites … if I weren’t in public, I would have been licking the plate instead of my fingers! *LOL* My son makes the best dip I’ve ever had – hands down. If he were making this stuff all the time, I would be hard put to keep my hot little mitts out of it! >;o)
Have a wonderful, Happy and Peaceful New Year, Ipanema!

Dr. IBear … I don’t know why I forgot to write about the Grateful Deads!!! *hic!*
Actually, I made over FORTY of the darn things, although I stuck with the punch, myself, so that I could make the Grateful Deads. I had mine on Christmas day! One fellow told me that there’s a place in Portsmouth NH that makes them almost as good as I do! I’m going to have to get down there after the New Year and sample theirs!
You know, I couldn’t get any of the clear Long Island Ice Tea mix, and I had to make the mix myself. I made 2.63 liters of the stuff, and it’s darn near gone! ;o)
Hope you have a WONDERFUL New Year!

Not a great idea to read this blog post (rather see the pictures) when it has been nearly 6 hours since you had the last meal and your stomach is growling. Delicious, your table looks.
Have a happy and peaceful year ahead, Moof.

Lakshmi, the food was quite good, even if I say so myself. My amply expanded belly is the proof! Have a wonderful New Year, my dear friend!
