What Do You See? #2

This one’s for Pk, TJ, Cathy and Lakshmi … who are “Stereogram challenged!” ;o)

Note that what you’re looking for is in 3-D, and is in the very center of the stereogram. Also, it takes up a full 1/3 of the stereogram in height and width. I promise that you’ll ♡ it when you see it!

You need to relax, and not try real hard … just look at the picture and let your eyes lose their focus. It took me a long time to be able to “see” these. I really did believe that my kids were pulling my leg, trying to make me think I was crazy. Once I “saw” the first one, I became an avid stereogram addict! I have MEGS of them on my computer.

And Scan Man, if your star in the last one had 8 sides instead of 7, it could be that your window size shrunk the stereogram. That can distort the picture. The last one had a width of 600. This one is too wide for my blog, so I’ve put it on a separate page: it’s 800 px wide.

Good luck!

phoey! i don’t know the answer.

I’m Dr. A and I’m stereogram challenged. You got me. These were always frustrating to me. Telling me to relax is like telling me not to blink (see now you notice yourself blinking now, huh?). I’ll try again later…

A pretty heart. I have few gifts in life. One is easily seeing what’s in sterograms. Of the gifts I might have had, this is low on the list. But one must accept small favors…

  4. Cathy UNITED STATES Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.6 Says:

Moof, I tried just a little while ago on this one..no can do…I will come back after I get home this afternoon and get rest.

  5. Carrie UNITED STATES Mac OS X Safari 417.8 Says:

I can’t see them either, but I also can’t look at the pics for very long with the migraine! When I used to do headache research, there was a study going on about migraine being triggered by visual patterns…very interesting! I used to have a book of these and my friend and I would look at them for hours! Can’t see either of these for some reason, though! Take care :)

  6. kt UNITED STATES Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0 Says:

finally! i got it. thanks moof, this was fun.

  7. It's me, T.J. UNITED STATES Windows 98 Internet Explorer 6.0 Says:

I can’t get past seeing the repetitive patterns that are in these pictures. They’re stamped on there, the first is the same as the last, transversing across the image, one after the other.

    Boring.

These are the first ’stereograms’ I’ve ever seen in my life, so I guess I don’t know what I’m really supposed to see?

I guess I have to admit to being stereogram challenged.

I can be thankful that I’m not addicted to blogging too.

    later…

Oh Moof! I’m terrible with this. It reminds me of my eye tests. I’ll try later at home. Am in the office now…shhh :)

  9. d Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.6 Says:

This one was much easier! For some reason when I tried to do the last one with your two white sidebars, I could see that there was something, I just wasn’t sure what. Then the sidebars started flickering at me (when I wasn’t looking at them) and I realized it’s probably because I have a cheap computer monitor and the refresh rate isn’t great.

Having the picture by itself in a window worked perfect! I’m not sure if IE lets you do it, but Firefox users can right click on the picture and choose “View picture”, which will show just the picture. It’s great for things like this :)

When these first came out, my friend showed them to me in the poster store at the mall. They were actually framed and behind glass! The glass helps, though, because all you have to do is stare at your own reflection, and it’s that same looking-through-but-not-looking-at action that gets me the results!

  10. Peggikaye UNITED STATES Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0 Says:

nope, does terrible things to my not so good eyes today.

Earlier today I saw the repetative patterns like TJ, tonight, I’m just seeing plain old double when I try. Stupid MG.

This reminds me of taking the full evoked potentials test ..which, I fail miserably.

    ICKY eye tests.

  11. Arunn INDIA Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.6 Says:

I think I would agree with “d” a comment above mine.

Having the picture by itself on the screen, immediately gets you to the “answer”.

I saw 3 layers of “hearts” with minor “cuts” as decorations and within it at teh center, well, what is it? is it a dog (pup)?

one nice thing about these stereograms is, once you have the image in your vision, if you slightly sway your eyes away in all sides, the image will also move beautifully in layers, revealing the 3D effect in even more grandeur.

(where is scan man in these comments, yet? lost in his earlier vision?…;)

  12. Cathy UNITED STATES Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.6 Says:

Ok I have now tried about 3 different times. All I see are what looks like a theater full of people standing. I tell ya Moof, I’m not good at this at all. Like in college we were shown that pic. of young lady vs old woman. Some saw the old and others the young. After looking for awhile they could eventually see both. Not me! I saw only the old lady.

Whats really strange is I have a degree in chemistry. I can look through a microscope and see all sorts of different things but I can’t do these tests. Why?

  13. Pattie UNITED STATES Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0 Says:

I see a heart that tilts forward at the top. I always liked these things…of course, maybe the glass of wine I had helped me relax a whole lot more than usual! :)

  14. ipanema BRUNEI DARUSSALAM Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0 Says:

lol Cathy, same here. That’s what I saw.

  15. Cathy UNITED STATES Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.3 Says:

Well I’m so happy that I DID get the one Arunn posted. I tried that knowing it wouldn’t work. When I looked at my wall and that picture of “Him” showed up plain as could be I couldn’t believe it. About three minutes later I looked back at the wall and that picture came right back. Maybe I’m not completely hopeless.

  16. Moof Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.6 Says:

I’ve gotten a real charge out of seeing everyone do these. I’ll come up with another one to see if those of you who are more, um *cough* “challenged” can get it! ;o)

  17. scan man INDIA Mac OS X Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.6 Says:

I saw the heart quite easily.
I think Arunn is making up all the bits about 3 layers and a pup at the centre.

  18. Moof Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.6 Says:

Actually, if Arunn has his browser set a size that shrinks the heart, it ends up being very strange looking. If I shrink my browser down, I see a heart shape with 3 bumps on top instead of two. Hard to figure … ;o)

  19. Lakshmi INDIA Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.6 Says:

Moof, I think I am a classic specimen of study for Dr. V.S. Ramachandran and all the neuroscientists out there. I can’t see ANYTHING. I stared at that picture for a full 10 minutes (no one, not even my two and a half year old daughter has been able to make me sit in one place for THAT long !! :) staring and not even swallowing my saliva for fear of losing the picture in the act. And still no heart. Guess the romantic vision described by Arunn is to be lost on me forever. Sigh !

  20. Moof Windows XP Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.6 Says:

Lakshmi, I’m so sorry! You poor dear! I don’t mean to frustrate you. I have to go away for the day, but when I get back tonight, I’ll try to come up with a different type of stereogram, to see if it helps a bit. :o)
