Scan Man - that was about the nicest comment anyone has ever left me. Thank you, my friend! You know … it’s all quite true! Writing to you has been a really amazing experience for me! Suddenly, the world became a very tiny place.

One night, I went to bed with a feeling of absolute awe … I had just spent about an hour talking to Dr. Scan Man in my shout box as he was getting ready for work. Here I was, on this side of the world, getting ready to turn out the light and go to sleep - and there was Scan Man, getting up to go to work — and we had just had a wonderful chat … clear across the globe. He wasn’t even living the same day as I was … for him, it was my “tomorrow morning!

The internet is the most incredible communication tool ever created!

He also sent me some exotic music in Tamil … I’ve gotten rather addicted! :D

I agree totally with Moof & Tundra PA. Here is what Moofie had to say in one of her early emails to me…

I love to meet people from other countries and try to understand them and their culture better … it tears down the barriers between us once we begin to see one another as warm human beings and not just people who live in a country somewhere across the world.

and a great compliment in a later mail :)

I feel we share some very basic values and ideas, but there also doesn’t seem to be the cultural divide that I would expect … nor the language barrier. I feel as I’m writing to someone who lives down the road, but has knowledge of things that I’ve never dreamed of. It’s a wonderful experience on my end. To me, you’re like an amazing encyclopedia! :o)

& for those who are wondering what’s with Peggikaye’s reference to jello & wrestling… it is NOT what you are thinking.
That was about the mound of jello that Moof had to prepare for a lunch over the Easter weekend.
