Let me introduce you to Dr. Hans Engel, author of the Bring Peace Blog.
“My #%*&@# is prettier, older, more expensive, stronger… than yours” . Psychologists call it penis envy.
Desire shifts from beneficial to harmful. Most of the time envy is petty, mean and of little significance. On the other hand, envy can lean to extremes: “My religion is better than yours!” or even “My God is greater than your God”. This horror has led to many wars in the past three millenia. Other wars are the result of other envies: property, skin color, agricultural skills, water supply, hunger, language.
