*Phew!*
Quick note …
Took my midterm today. Out of the 3 allotted hours, I used 2.09 … which included going back over all of my answers and double checking them. There were a few tricky questions, like naming “the” muscle that plantar flexes the foot … ayuh … which one of the 5 they taught us do they consider to be “the” muscle? Just love that sort of thing …
At any rate … I can now breathe easier!
Tomorrow I’m going to be making some pies for a Knights of Columbus dinner … I think I’ll make “Shoofly” … those always go over rather nicely. Saturday is the dinner itself … I’ll be helping to set up, serve, and clean up.. Going to be a busy couple of days.
Hopefully I can get back into my regular posting schedule this coming week …
And now … I’m going to go “celebrate” a bit before bed … *hic!* … >;o)

Congrats Moofie!! Glad you finished your exam and have that out of the way! I’m sure you feel a lot better now!!
And what’s this about going and celebrating?? Hey huh! Without me?! What kind of a deal is THAT?!?! A raw deal, that’s what it is…
You need to come visit me again… Pretty please?! :-)

Moof,
Congrats on finishing the mid-term…in good time, too! You must have known your stuff!
Shoefly pie, huh? I thought those were only popular in Pennsylvania and Ohio! (I used to live in OH)
My old neighbor ( in Rhode Island) would go down to Amish country and bring back shoefly pie every few months. My mom loved it, but we kids didn’t! If it wasn’t chocolate cream, we weren’t interested!

Hey Fug! Thanks for dropping in … why is it that most guys always have the same reaction when they hear the word “pie?” You dudes are pretty clever … I’m sure you all know how to make pies, right? *poke poke!* ;o)
Peggikaye, essentially, Shoofly Pie is a “molasses” pie. Sounds terrible, I know, but they are really yummy. They’re not very well known up here , since as Pattie commented, they’re part of the Pennsylvania Dutch culture, but I was once engaged to a fellow from PA, and he’s the one who got me to make my first shoofly pie. I make them a lot now. They go over really big at church dinners.
I’ll put up the recipe later today …
Sarah … please forgive me, yes … I did get silly without you. *40 lashes with a wet noodle for the Moof* … but you’re never here anymore, so if I’m gonna get silly at all … and yes, I will come up and see you again soon. I just need several days in a row that I don’t have something going on.
Pattie … you’re just going to have to try Shoofly Pie as an adult … the flavor and consistency are not like anything else. A bit closer to “candy pie,” actually! You’re not that far away … one of these days I may drive down and bring a pie with me … ;o)

Wow, That would be great! :)

I don’t know how you do it Moof. I was a student continuously from 1969 until 2000 (a professional student for the final 6 years of that span).
I would no sooner take another mid-term than stip naked and run screaming down Commonwealth Avenue.
best,
Flea

Moof,
I will gladly finish your course if you want to watch my boys :D
I bet you did just fine on your test.

Good job on the test. The rest of the week-end will be “easy as pie”.
;+ )

Dr. Flea … oh my! “I would no sooner take another mid-term than strip naked and run screaming down Commonwealth Avenue. …. dear heart! Since you’re done taking midterms … CAN I WATCH??? I can be there in an hour!!! >;o)
Amie … good deal! I borrow the little people, you do the school work, we’ll each be in our own little sort of heaven! *grin*
Hey my dear TJ … I think you’re right! It was easy as pie … oh wait … it was pie! 0.o

Congrats Moof.
‘Examinations are formidable even to the best prepared, for the greatest fool may ask more than the wisest man can answer.’ – Charles Caleb Colton, English cleric, writer & collector (1780 – 1832).
I also agree with Dr Flea. I find that I was a little behind him – 1976 to 2001.
Great minds think alike :)
Have you heard the corollary – Fools seldom differ ;)

Hey Dr. Cat Scan Man! Thanks for dropping in!
If you agree with Dr. Flea, does that mean I can come watch both of you run naked down Commonwealth Avenue!?!? >8-)
You’ve left us with two platitudes, and I can’t help but wonder which one applies to us … perhaps a bit of both! *grin*
