Midterms …
Wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone … I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet. There’ve been a lot of things going on - not the least of which are midterms this week. I’m frantically trying to stuff my little Moofie-brain full of lots of nice anatomy and physiology … *rolls eyes* … regarding which I was recently overheard saying: “Hey! It’s going to be a piece of cake! This is the third time I take it!” … *sigh* … I took it in nursing school, then in Corps School … about 100 years ago! It never pays to be cocky! I didn’t take into account how much like a leaky sieve my brain has become in my old age … ;o)
Just in case someone visits my blog who doesn’t know the famous Dr. Crippen of NHS Blog Doc, he’s hosting Grand Rounds this week, and has done a fantastic job. I’ve never seen so many pictures in one post before! I’ve got to say that he’s come up in the blogosphere like a rocket! He started blogging a month later than I did, and has made it to #1 in the BlogTopSites under the health category.
… and I can say that I knew him when he was just a wee one … erm, blogger, that is …
Congratulations Dr. Crippen! You’ve got one rocking blog!
And now … back to my studies. I’ve got to finish up the chapter on the Endocrine System before I can get some shut-eye tonight … what was I thinking when I decided to go back to school??? 0.o
PS … kudos and thanks to the Cheerful Oncologist for the idea of using pictures to illustrate various words in a post. He’s a very clever gentleman!

Moof,
I checked your blog frequently. Glad you’re back! God, I remember taking Anatomy and Physiology, too. I liked Anatomy, but the other….was…a….bummer! *ugh*I especially hated the labs…you know, like running electric current through a severed frog leg so we could see how the muscles worked…..can someone say PETA? :)
Good Luck with the schooling. I assume (bad word) that the semester is almost over?
Love the picture idea…very cute.

Hey Sarah! School is okay … just a bit more strenuous than usual right now. This too shall pass!
Biggest problem is that I have something going on all week … yesterday we had to go out, tomorrow I have to go out, Friday I have to make pies … and Sat I’ll be gone most of the day. I have to have the time to study, review, and take a 3 hour mid-term between now and Sunday night. Man! Am I ever feeling ooooold this week! *LOL*

Pattie … our school divisions are a bit different. We have sessions and terms … and our learning is “accelerated.” Methinks I’m too d@mn old to even use the word accelerate … ! 0.o
I’m half way through this session, which is the first half of the spring term. They have things a bit inverted from what I’m used to.

Dr. Flea! I’ve missed you! I’m keeping an eye at your ER and Vaccine dilemmas over on your site. I was a good girl … my four kids all had all of their vaccines. Two of them even had a few extras as teens. *pats self on head*
What I’m studying is Health Information Technology (Medical Informatics) … and where is DeVry University. So far, it’s been quite easy … but this A & P class has been a bit of a challenge when compared to what they gave us in nursing school. Trying to get it into there in a fraction of the time, too. Need to stretch my poor brain! *LOL* Hey! I still have my 4.0! ( … for now … *blink* )

I will keep your brain in my prayers!

Glad you took a minute to post.
I thought that school was what you were ‘up to’.
I feel your pain.

Anatomy and physiology was my favorite class *ever*. I took it AP in high school and our teacher happened to be a vet so she knew so many ways to make it interesting.
Good luck with midterms!

William … this Moofie would love to have a Moof-cave to hide in! *LOL* No such luck … ;o)
Peggikaye … thank you dearly for the prayers … my little Moofie-brain can use everything it can get … 0.o
TJ … I know that you understand … *comfort* … you’re living through the same thing! Don’t know if we’re meant to go back to school later in life … poor old brains don’t work like they did in the teen years …
Amie … would you mind hopping in your car, and driving up to Maine, and finishing my course for me? >;o)
