All Blogged Up: A Moof’s Tale

Home Again

Well, I made it back to Berwick. It was an uneventful trip (the best kind) and just took me a bit more than three hours. I hated to leave Sarah and Daein’s place - not only was it warm, but the company was wonderful. A few times on the night before I left, Sarah got me laughing so hard over silly stuff that I almost inhaled my drink.

When I got home, I missed being up with them all the more, because it’s cold in here … although my hubby and son tell me that it’s a lot warmer than it was when the power was out. Ayuh! Somehow, I believe that …

Sarah posted about my visit on her blog! You’ll have to run over there and say hi to her … and if you do, please leave her a comment, and take a look around at her posts. She has some amazingly insightful thoughts about “Borderline Personality Disorder.” If you’ll recall from one of my previous posts, Sarah has had a bit of a rough start in life. I would call this young lady a real survivor.

And now - for the promised pictures from my trip to Old Town!

Sarah dinner

Sarah at the Chocolate Grill on Friday night. I want you to know that I got a lot of prostests each time I took a picture. If you think Sarah looks a bit defensive … it’s because she was! ;-)

Daein dinner

My youngest son, Daein, at the Chocolate Grill on Friday night. He actually smiled for this photo! *boggle!* Every time I look at him, I still can’t beleive that he’s in his last year of studying Molecular Biology. Geeze … he didn’t get his brains from me!

Sarah computer

Now, I know that Sarah hates candid shots … and this is a “candid shot.” But I love Sarah in this picture. It’s what I see when I see her, and that makes me feel all warm inside. Sarah’s too pretty to feel like she needs to pose for a pic.

Daein computer

My computer addict … ayuh! No doubt about it. He actually looked up at me … I was amazed! ;-)

LOL payback indeed! You’re in trouble now! I did go read Sarah’s blog, and I love it. She’s very insightful, and a delight to read, I’m sure in person she makes a lovely daughter-in-law.
Speaking of in-laws, I got a lovely warm welcoming email from my grandmother (in-law) today; made me feel part of the family and very relieved that they weren’t upset we got married without them They go to Florida for winter, so weren’t available to be at the wedding. But she seemed ok with that, so I’m very relieved and very grateful that Chris’s family likes me.

Shelly! Hey! Thanks for dropping in! I’m glad to hear about the welcome Chris’ grandmother gave you. Do you think you’ll get to meet her this summer?

I saw your post in bloglines, by the way, about the Linux/Windows dilemma. We had the same problem here last year. I ended up learning how to use Linux in self defense, and got to really like it. I only went back to XP when I started school last fall, since everything I read warned that the “classes” would only work in Windows.

How’s Chris doing with his classes, by the way? I finished mine about 4 weeks early … and am having some time off until March 6. I’m learning a bit more PHP in the interim. I’ll be over to visit you soon … hope to do a blogrun before bed tonight.
